Jim Thomas began Key Web Concepts with the mindset of connecting local companies to types of digital marketing that would be more efficient and economical than traditional advertising channels.

About Our Founder

Jim is a native of Peru, New York, a small town in the Adirondack mountains of Northern NY. He studied Graphic Design and Art Education at the University of Buffalo, followed by post-graduate studies at the University of Florida – Gainesville.

Jim began his career as a freelance graphic designer while teaching art in the public high schools of Buffalo, New York and Richmond, VA.

After moving to Virginia in 1994, Jim continued to teach art until 2001, when he was hired as a Marketing Director, IT Director and Web Designer at an engineering firm in Chesterfield, VA. In the spring of 2006, he launched Key Web Concepts, Inc.

We’ve Come a Long Way Over The Years

Our steady growth over the past 20 years is the result of building websites that blend professional graphic design and organic search engine optimization with each company’s unique business goals.  In September of 2020, Key Web Concepts was purchased by NTS, a national leader in networking and security.  The addition of Key Web Concepts to the NTS family has benefited both companies in growing our market share and service offerings throughout the entire United States.

We’ve built over 1,000 websites, designed graphics for hundreds of companies and grown with the companies that we’ve served.
